Abstract

The article shows the historical establishment of the traditions of Ukrainian bandura art, the prerequisites and features of the development of the process of teaching music from the times of the USSR to the present day. The need for active involvement of the younger generation in the Ukrainian cultural environment, preservation and restoration of musical customs and traditions is emphasized. The initiating competitions that initiated the development of bandura art are presented. Analyzes the social and political processes that took place in society and shows what was the response to these influences. The article shows the danger to the national culture of the process of globalization and the widespread influence of mass culture on the younger generation and points the ways to preserve the national musical traditions of the nation. The spiritual culture of the individual must develop in the right direction, which does not contradict the national idea, supports Ukrainian manners. It is necessary to lay a strong foundation for the formation of a responsible citizen-patriot with a stable national consciousness and views. Music and aesthetic education is considered a complex link in the structure of the overall educational process. From time immemorial, thinkers and artists have noticed the ability of music to influence moral qualities and character traits; on the state of mind and principles of human behavior. that is why music should be high quality, with reasonable content, emphasize the Ukrainian affiliation of both the listener and the performer. Bandura competitions are being created to save and promote national cultural values. competitions-founders who initiated the reconstruction of national traditions include: Bandura competition name after Volodymyr Kabachok took place in Poltava 1995, International competition of performers on Ukrainian folk instruments named after Gnat Hotkevich took place in Kharkiv 1998, International competition for young bandura players Volyn kobzar took place in Lutsk 2003 and Competition for young bandura players named after Gnat Hotkevich took place in Kharkiv 2003. Therefore, due to such artistic events, Ukrainian musical art gained new musical traditions, the number of bandura performers increased, which contributed to the popularization of bandura art.
